Updated on July 29, 2022 | By Ankit

Have you encountered Place:type=6&sort=14&maxresults=10/ issue while working on Mozilla firefox? If not, then open your Mozilla firefox browser and try to type “T” in the search bar. What are the search options you are getting? Typing “T” in the search bar and seeing option 6 in the search options?

This issue is not occurring while typing “T” only. Try to type “F” what search option you are getting?

Many users of Mozilla Firefox have encountered this problem. Keep searching, the firefox will show different results no matter what you want to get.

Let’s move further, and try to understand how the algorithm is causing this error. Google algorithm helps to improve your search options based on search history and pre-installed extensions. Now the question is why we are discussing this when we can easily remove those search preference options right? The answer is there is no way to remove those unpredicted search options from the tab. This can only be possible when you are using incognito Mode.

As we have already discussed, there is no permanent solution for the “place:type=6&sort=14&maxresults=10”. But for our readers, we have provided some Hit and trial methods that can eliminate this issue for temporary use only.

  1. To eradicate this issue you have to open your web browser Mozilla Firefox(5.0) and go to history then click on the option “Clear Recent History” to remove the search history and caches.
  2. Now again open a new tab in Mozilla Firefox(5.0) and try to type “T” or “P” in the search bar.
  3. You will get  “place:type=6&sort=14&maxresults=10” for typing “T” and parent=menu &parent=unfiled&parent=toolbar&querytype=1&sort=12&maxresults=10&excludequeries=1″ for typing “P” as the result.
  4. We didn’t get the result that we are looking for. Now try to press the Shift button along with the backspace or use the Shift with the Delete button to eradicate this issue.

Note: The above-mentioned solution is a temporary one. Try to type “T” and “P” again, you will get “place:type=6&sort=14&maxresults=10” for typing “T” and parent=menu &parent=unfiled&parent=toolbar&querytype=1&sort=12&maxresults=10&excludequeries=1″ for typing “P” as the result.

Conclusion

Either you can try to ignore the “place:type=6&sort=14&maxresults=10” issue or wait for the new Mozilla Firefox update to fix this issue permanently. If you don’t want to face this issue, use Incognito Mode only if you don’t have a problem with restrictions.
